    Need weight of shock absorbers

I've bought 4 Bilsteins for the Rangie (A$370 vs $880 in Oz) and they await my collection in the USA. However, I want to buy some other stuff and am concerned I'll go over my baggage allowance.

Would anyone have a Disco/RR shock that they can weigh for me so I can work out the weight of four of the beggars?

    Hi All

I'm a bit concerned here mate, I'm trying to figure out if you bought a ticket from a dud airline or from a good airline on a dud plane, or a good airline on a good plane on a dud route but i guess we will here about it

Back on topic, if we are starting a book i want the two options the valving is wrong on all shockies and secondly that one fails, went outside to measure the defender shocks i have and remembered that the exwife took the scales sorry mate

Hope that you have a nice trip Ron

    Regards Mark

I didn't think wives wanted to be kept aware of their weight!

I hope the airline isn't a dud (Qantas) - but I do recall my trip back from Broome with Q a couple of years back.

I'll try to think of you blokes while I'm away.

Thanks very much 999. The bloke (another Admin on the RR.net forum) in the USA who received them for me said the shipping weight was stated as 20 lbs (9kg) and that sounded far too light. He doesn't have any scales to check them.

I wonder what my wife will say when I put two shocks in her bag.......

Now to find out how heavy the ladder (see below) I bought for the P38A weighs. I'm not sure how I'm going to get it home as it won't fit in a suitcase.

I did the security Xray training for the Olympics back in 2000 and
Id love to see the face of the security staff at the airports as they see
your 4 pipe bomb shaped objects!!

Be nice when they do the search, they are qualified to search that way (they've done vet training!) maybe you may want to post them back..

    Enjoy your trip...

I just got back from the US 2 weeks ago and both my bags weighed in at 50lbs exact. I've got maximizing checked luggage weight down to fine art.

Only went over with one checked bag weighing 29lbs.

Bugger. Do you think it will be a problem?

I'm always nice to customs and security staff. I'm not like those idiots you see on TV.
