Thanks Andrew (and everyone else), my family has been keeping your mob a bit busy this week. Wednesday it was the 000 call to the farm and then overnight the inter-hospital retrieval to Wollongong.
Last night it was another 000 call and an inter-hospital road trip to Sydney with a crew/car change at Warrilla (removing an ambulance from the Shoalhaven for the best part of a shift is not a good idea).
Today or in the morning it's another inter-hospital from Wollongong to Sydney. At least my dad will be on the same campus as I work and mum about 10 min drive from home.
Both are in good spirits today.
Diana
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Glad to hear the move for your dad came off.
At least the situation should be more manageable for you now.
I hope and pray that things now start to improve for both your mum and dad.
Roger
Hi Diana,

Well mum's been out of hospital since Friday and dad has been at Randwick for a similar period. Mum looks a sight, stitches over her eyebrow, a black eye, has been very subdued and seems to have lost interest in things, not reading as is her usual passion. Dad too seems a little depressed saying that he wishes he had fallen on his head and be done with life.
So it's all a bit draining, liaising with my dad's medical team, trying to arrange things like CT scans and appointments for mum, keep both their spirits up, plus entertain and play chauffeur.
I guess that's what family is all about.
(My waste of space brother, has barely been heard from let alone done anything.)

Very sorry to hear of the accidents. It is a serious thing when elderly folk take a tumble and it often seems to knock the wind out of their sails. Hope they bear up and are able to get back to some sense of normalcy.
