    Rego is NBE15E.

I might add, there was a particular Mercedes on ebay many times over the last couple of years. They wanted too much for it. Each time it came near to the end of the listing they would cancel all bids and withdraw the listing. One of the tricks sellers use. Nothing wrong with it and all legal but boy, it ****ed the bidders off.

I just requested a meeting to view the car on Friday and how many K's it's done.

I think you guys are a little sceptical.

I dont know what the "minimum" requirements are but I have sold 2 vehicles on ebay without listing the vin (or in my case Chassis numb). I was legit! So was the sale.

Lots of people do the old "no paypal" - they can't - ebay require you to accept it. You can't opt out. Lots of people try

I also think he is trying to avoid listing fee: Hence - start at 99c - usually free - and then try to get around the final sale fee by saying it didn't sell and then negotiating on the side. Happens all the time, its a cheap way of getting your car advertised.

I have also bought 4 vehicles on ebay. Do your revs check, inspection, and pays your moneys. Simple as that. - If you dont like it - dont buy it!.

The ad does appear to infringe a couple of ebay rules - probably would be removed if you reported it. Smells a little fishy but not necessarily a scam.

I sell a fair bit too and always amazes me how people take the heavy handed approach. " I will remove your bid" "You bid to buy not to view" etc etc..Its all just a turn off and puts people off. Keep your ads upbeat, lots of pics, open honest and usually get a good sale.

My 2 cents, Glass half full............Sleepy!

I must admit the buy it now does seem a little low though!

I thought that the ACCC ruled that making Paypal the only means of paying was any competitive and illegal in Aust.

When I list items for sale the option to be paid by Paypal, Electronic Transfer and COD is there.

I had the same add the other day on a cheap late model caravan. It was listed as being just down the road so I thought I would have a look. It's a total scam, could not even see it but said he would refund it not happy with it. Ebay pull the add.

Here is the reply I got.

    Hi,
First off all I want to thank you for your question about the caravan. The caravan is in perfect condition, with no scratches on it, no damage. Hasn't been involved in any accident. All the necessary papers will be provided along with the caravan.
The total price is $15000 AUD including the shipping to your address. Price reduced for quick sale.
The caravan is registered in Australia but currently i am located in London, United Kingdom, because i just finished the divorce with my wife and i have moved here to my parents home for a new life.. The payment will be made through eBay and only after you will receive the caravan, i will receive the payment.
It will take around 2-3 working days until you will receive the caravan and you will have a 3 days inspection period (so you have 3 days to change your mind and refuse or keep the caravan). Also, I need to know if you have cash in hand because I have a lot buyers interested in the purchase and I don't have time to waste. No offense but if you really want to buy the caravan I will stop communicating with the other interested buyers.
If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so i can initiate the deal through eBay. You must know that eBay will contact you without any obligation to buy it or fees.
I will wait your answer (if you are interested to buy) very soon.
    Thanks
    Cheers, David.
