G'day,Brett, I've just cleaned mine, and it made a difference. If you remove the MAF completely, look in thru either end you will see the element hanging down, about in the middle.I used CRC mass air flow sensor cleaner, got mine from repco., supposed to clean @ protect mass air flow sensors. I also cleaned my ambient air pressure sensor, and manifold absolute pressure [MAP] sensor. I think it is advisable to clean the power to the MAF switch as well, [you take it off to remove the MAF anyway]using the MAF cleaner on all.The MAP gets pretty dirty. BTW,it is recommended you do not touch the MAF sensor at all , and general opinion is do the clean when the sensor is cold. If you dont have a RAVE DVD, may I suggest buying one, it makes so many things clearer. I have the routine of cleaning all these items every oil change.[I also clean the coolant temp. sensor, mine gets oily after a while.] Cheers, Bob
[oops, just noticed you have a V8, mine is a TD5, just looked in RAVE, appears the MAF is the same principle for both,so at least that advice should be ok]
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
