    Horn Question

    I picked up a couple of new Discovery horns at a swap meet recently for my series III. Wired them up individually to a battery when I got home to check them out, but neither makes a sound. I have seen the same type on eBay a couple of times, and was thinking perhaps there was a crook batch or am I doing something wrong.

    put a multi meter across the terminals on ohms.

    so long as that doesnt come up as a dead short to the body or open circuit on the terminals, put power on them and give them some love with a rubber mallet

    Yes, I've been worried about my horn for a while, don't know if I have a terminal open circuit or just dead circuited in the body, Bob
    I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

    like all problems Land Rover, if you cant solve it with technical finesse sheer bloody minded brute force usually works.
