The little bit of disruption is nothing compared to what you are going through and will for some time The one thing about this forum that I like and enjoy is the friend ships that are made through the key board. There is always some body thats willing to assist some one that has less than himself, be it time, parts, hands on assistance, knowledge or what ever. The only other bond between people that I know that seems to be stronger than this forum is my military association mates especially our Vietnam unit.

Although not knowing either of you, people on this forum are like family and I feel like I have lost a member. This is tragic. Words escape me. My thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of sorrow.

Bloody hell Sarah, what a shock. I haven't been on for a couple of weeks and to come back to this my heart goes out to you & your little man Lucas. I never knew of the issues in the background but of all the people I have met in my life time I have to say you & Simon made an unforgettable impression on me, caring, sharing and as always Simon the perfectionist, a quality not very many people can say they have. I have not seen a Deefer or D1 in better condition, probably better than they came off the production line. Please PM me if there is anything I can do to assist in this time of sadness.
Chin up, keep smiling and again please let me know if I can help.
    Stay in touch.

Thanks Peter...if I hadn't seen you online by Saturday I was going to message you to let you know. There are a handful of people I know we've connected with that haven't stopped by and I would want you to know before the funeral in case you wished to attend. We're going to be ok...I miss him, so so so much. It's been a hard day today seeing his Rover worked on without him. I just want him to come back and give me a hug.

Sorry, I thought I had remembered to post here as well. The funeral is being loosely planned for Friday and will be out in Northam WA. Once I have the confirmation of dates I will post and let you all know as I know many wish to take leave and attend. We will probably arrange some sort of convoy for those who wish to travel out. But it will be important that you all clean your cars...Simon was a perfectionist and would appreciate the effort

    Hi Sarah,

I have just read this thread and have read it out to my wife. We were both in tears.

I have read all the posts on here and you have a large community on AULRO across Australia thinking of you at this sad time.

I remember taking a call from a guy with a Pommy accent around a month ago. He introduced himself as Simon and phoned me to discuss the Silblades as I had put a Thread on here asking about them.

We then spoke for around 20mins or more about all things Land Rover and I could tell he was very passionate about the subject and knew a hell of a lot about them.
He said he was importing Silblades now and was I interested in purchasing a set. Of course I was!

You emailed me the Tax Invoice, I paid within a few days, and before I knew it they had arrived here in Melbourne.

It is a shock to learn he is now gone.

I cannot add much to what has been said already, but you and your family are in our thoughts.

Keep hold of those good memories you have of Simon.

Thank you Nigel... I remember the day Simon called you. We were meant to be headed out and he sat out on the front step of the house for what seemed like an eternity I was pacing back and forth and came out with the 'wind it up' signal because he would have kept you there for hours and hours. He got off the phone all excited to tell me about your vehicle. I think he was a bit jealous
