Looks like they are aiming for the high end of the market. It's fine to say they will be more capable, etc, etc, lets wait and see what price they put on it.Then wait and see what the ongoing service costs will be, and the cost of parts. Land Rover the 4wd for the average person? perhaps not in the future. Bob

I took a snap shot of the interior. I realise this is a concept vehicle so may not look anything like the production, nonethless things I've noticed.

    • Automatic
    • Electronic Dash - I presume the big knob is the TRC and the Fight Joystick type Gear Lever. That seems to be the only Electronic Display so perhaps a central readout for Dashboard info - perhaps supplemented by a Heads Up Display?. Airbags will, no doubt, be added.
    • Steering Wheel apears have have controls - perhaps just for Audio but could also indicate a Flappy Paddle gear change.
    • I also noted rear recovery loops....cant see any on the front though.

OK, what I thought was a TRC knob is just a logo on the screen

Looks like that screen folds down too.

I think they will mainly sell to D4 & Freelander customers, and so just split their existing market share or customer base.

L.R. have committed 1 billion pounds a year for the creation of new and exciting products to strengthen LR's position in the global marketplace." Yes, it is a shame what they have done to the Defender. The Disco 4 looks more like the old Defender than this beast! Kind of reminds me of a cross between a Freelander and Mini Countryman.

I dont think we will see many of these poking about farms feeding cattle? On the other hand, has anyone read the press release? They talk about a lot of very interesting new technology. I dont know how much of it would actually work or be viable but it is interesting. One of the things is retractable spikes that come out of the tyres at the push of a button.

The topless sports ute version is a laugh. I would want to wear a bag on my head in case someone I knew saw me driving it.

I dont know what you all think, but I think they missed the mark by a mile.
