    I recal reading about a military electric land rover under development. The idea was to use it in urban war zones for sneeking up on the bad guys. Not sure if they ever developed it.

    I remember seeing a series years ago (on the web) that some blokes in the states retrofitted with batteries and electric motors as a rock-crawler.

    Was a weapon !
    It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

    The replacement of the engine means that the production vehicle’s tailpipe carbon dioxide emissions of 295g/km have been reduced to zero. Tests showed the car could drive three times the distance of a typical game journey on a single charge.
    No doubt recharged by someone pedalling a generator for 20 hours.
