With Vodafone, you can log on to your account on their website and then select the ring option from 5 - 25 seconds.

I bought a Samsung cell 'phone in the USA and it uses AT&T. On my return home I tried my Australian 'phones SIM card in the USA 'phone and got a message "wrong card". Does anyone know if and how I can get the US 'phone to work here? My Oz 'phone is four years old and the US one is much more modern and just nicer to use.
The phone is probably locked to AT&T.

Google will give you unlocking websites that you pay $10 or so for the code and away you go.

Another place to search is on Ebay, probably Ebay.com (USA) and do the same thing.

The 'phone cost US$9.98. Might as well throw it away if unlocking will cost more than the 'phone did.

I have emailed SamsungUSA and await their reply.

The code is if any one wants it is #61*101**30# hope this is usefull to others.

    Hodgo
thanks Hodgo - I've done it too all of ours - we missed a lot of calls due to not constantly wearing them on our persons

    so thanks inc

but....your code did not work .... but incs adjusted one does

    it needs the 2 stars " ** " in front of the 61 .. not a hash " # "

    it's otherwise correct

Brian, dont forget that the phone will probably have the AT&T firmware installed, meaning that some of the features wont work on the Telstra network.

If it is internet enabled, you may also have problems here as well.

You MAY be able to get around it, by re-flashing the phone, however this can be tricky, and is not guaranteed to work.

Hi All, I just tried Inc's code and got the same result,a "failed to send" message. What am I doing wrong? When I press "send" it asks me to select either SMS or MMS. Is this what occurs to others? Cheers,130man.

    inc's code worked on our phones - hodgo's didn't

may have be carefully input to get the number of * in the right spots, then end with the # before you press send - only works with Telstra apparently

Just tried again.I think I am putting in the code correctly . This last time I got a "this number is not connected" message. I pressed call instead of send.I rang my mobile and nothing has changed with regard to ring time before going to message bank.I turned my mobile off, then on again, and tried once again. No change. What is it I am doing wrong here?130man.

The codes SHOULD work, however, if you are having problems, you should be able to change the delay in the message settings.

Depending on the phone & the model, there is usually a setting under "Message Centre" that gives you the option to set the delay before diverting to your message bank.
