Quick query,
Does it matter what type of regulator is used when using gas to power a fridge? It's really old, so there's no manual or anything with it.
The tube & regulator that came with it doesn't fit the bottle I have, and the tube & regulator I borrowed that does fit is different. The lady at the camping shop said it shouldn't matter, but I don't trust them. Should I be bothered undoing the fittings & swapping over the regulators?
NO.

regulators should have pressure printed on them , check they're the same. Fridge should have supply pressure printed on it -usually near connection

Normal BBQ regulator is fine. Blue, green, grey etc. Should cost under $15.00
Red regulators are high pressure- avoid.
