On reflection being knocked out would have been good.
It has been 30 hrs and I have not taken any painkillers for the last 12 hrs. I have been using a bag of frozen peas on and off through the day. I've no pain and only a slight discomfort when stand/walk.
OK, I walk like John Wane but if this is the recovery rate it really is no big deal.
don't do what i did
went back to work after a day, slipped while climbing over a handrail on a bandmill, and landed on them
the next few breaths where the most painful things i have ever experienced. ;) and seemed to be several minutes apart :o
i came too and couldn't speak so had to crawl down a flight of stairs to get help :D
not one of my better days... just cant help some people.....
Knocking out was the best for me! Little pain and no bad memories of burning sensations or smells or tugging etc....
Now that it's healing well, don't assume it's all good cos the moment you move and it doesn't like it, it'll swell up and bruise like balls on a ......
Mine were fine until a few days after then the bruising really showed, all deep red/black. Took a week before the mrs said they resembled a ball sac again not a pair of lemons.
Hope the recovery keeps going so well!

I have taken heed of the warnings and I'm still resting although now I'm getting board.
The bag of peas has gone.
Now the bruising is starting to show so I'll start using the Arnica cream.
The only discomfort is when I move to quickly, so I'll stay slow and steady for a couple more days.
Just don't repeat my uncle's performance...
Recovering at home, bored, he decided to do an overhaul on the trolley jack.
Had it up on the work bench when it decided to roll off. He didn't jump out of the way or grab it as he knew it would hurt his nuts, but trouble was he wasn't wearing his steel cap workboots - just his slippers.
Dropped on his big toe and broke it
Steve
Toughen up :p
Go grab the missus and 'give her one' to check the equipment
Hey,
Im now 11 days since being fixed. Swelling gone. Bruising gone and the whole package still works ;)
