Time for the snip

OK to revive an old thread.
i got mine done yesterday and OMG i must have some sensitive little nutties. First injection into skin was ok, but the vas tubes needed a bit more help. 3 wacks of anesthetic in the right and 2 in the left and there is only one way to find out you need more..... OUCH.

Called the wife when i got down to the car afterwards and could hardly talk. felt like my nuts were in my throat and damn glad i had cruise to drive home on the freeway.

Whats worse is the old fella ran away in fright. Now that is NO way to impress the hot nurse hanging onto it for the doc. Took about 4 hours before i could coax him out enough from under foreskin to take a pee.

100% better today but still retracted a little and walking like a cowboy.

its all I could do at the moment, may revisit and adapt more later..

Welcome to the worlds largest men only club.

Sorry to hear it was not a smooth procedure. Mine was similar with me hitting the roof when he started on the second one. I have had a bit of on/off ache due to some scarring but that has all but gone now.

My advice is sit down and take it easy, all the horror stories are about people who did too much too soon. So seriously chill out for a week and give yourself time to heal.

ps notice how women have no sympathy for the pain men experience due to vasectomy.

I think I winced more reading this thread than every other time I have in my entire life.

I don't know why precisely I chose to view the thread but upon reading it (and indulging in some not unsympathetic giggles) I am mightily proud of most of you. You have made a decision which relieves the duty that traditionally falls to the woman, having to pop pills every day of her sexual life to prevent unwanted pregnancies, constant chemical onslaught to her system or having to go in for MAJOR snip snips herself and being at far greater physical risk (assuming she can get them to agree anyway)

I'm not sure why some think of it as loss of 'manhood' though... its simply a rediversion of traffic from the male area :/ Noone gets emasculated, no body parts are lost. It is NOT gelding, or castration, Hormones are still there - and anyone who defines manhood as an unaltered connection to an extremity might need to re-evaluate his standards.

We are past the stage in human development where we need to go forth and multiply, once a couple have the customary few brats on the ground there is no need for more just because of a partner swap (if the male wanted more children, he wouldnt have got the snip, and it isn't the new wifeys right to try twist his arm against his original decision, and if he backflips an earlier decision just to keep the woman happy, how is that the right mindset to create more family with?

So congrats to the Men who have gone ahead and survived it.

went and watched melbourne victory game last night. it was really good to get my mind off what was going on in between my legs and I was actually a lot more comfortable there than in the car. Isle seat legs spread wide.

relatively quiet day today, watched/graded a bunch of kids at the local soccer club for an hour (just standing).

And hopefully a quiet day tomorrow :angel: with the lads watching bathurst :twobeers:.

Michelle not sure I agree with your views about having the snip and then not having more kids with a new partner as I am sure that for most of us the decision to get the snip is a joint decision with our partners, just as having children is in the first instance. But thank you for your comments and endulgences of our hangups with our man hood. :)

Fair enough of course:)
I just have some concerns about what we as a race are putting the planet through with our viral like spread and the way we treat it, and am quite pleased when families remain compact :D
as for the gigglz, it wasn't the pain and fear that had me smile, it was wondering if you used the peas for anything afterwards lol
