Considering the infinite amount of heat generated, that would be the supreme challenge... ...supernova, anyone?

No no no! You are climbing into a Black Hole. At absolute zero there would be no friction and therefore no heat generated.

    That's an easy one

Linear speed of the gear teeth on both gears will be exactly the same. The radial speed (radians...rpms..whatever) will be in the ratio of 2.5:1 regardless.

So, both gears are travelling at the speed of light....but....would you be able to see them?
