USA - Kentucky, day trip ideas

it appears work may sending me to Kentucky USA for some factory testing on a piece of equipment we are looking at buying.

i believe i am flying to dallas first than onto kentucky and than probably out of dallas

one day of testing which is on Friday 10th feb

too busy at work atm but am looking at stayin over there for the weekend , maybe stretch it to 3 or 4 extra days

i would like to see either an NFL, NBL or NLB game......looks like it my only chance will be a basketball game......

any suggestions around the kentucky part of the world??

What about the Kentucky Bourbon Trail? I guess that it also includes some "factory testing"...
    Cheers

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.

I was in Lu'vul recently. Sleepy little town, but very nice. The BBC brewery in town has some great micro-brewed beers and food. Apart from that, distilleries, games, horse racing and trips on the river are the main things to see/do.

There is also a local beer fermented in bourbon barrels.

Food was good. Though be prepared for the side order of (packet) chips that comes standard with every meal. You will also need to get used to iced tea...

If you can hold out until the second weekend in April, you can go here. It's about 40K's out of Louisville
