From the 4WD Action forum:
Is your 4WD tough enough for a 4WD Action trip?
Well... is it?
Have you got the ultimate tourer? We’re looking for seven readers to join us on the trip of a lifetime. Without spoiling the surprise too much, we’ll meet in the High Country in late Febuary and take you on a sensational tour over the the following eight days, tackling every type of terrain possible on our way to the NSW Outback. Your 4WD will be a part of a major feature, as well as starring in it's own custom vehicle writeup and there's a good chance it'll be on the cover of an upcoming edition, too! Think of it like the ultimate off-road trip, with a professional photographer there to document it!
Best of all, we’ll pay for the fuel - you just bring your 4WD, your passengers and your food/drink for the trip. Seriously, who wouldn't want to go on a trip like this?
Sound like something you’re into? It's dead easy to be a part of this. Send an email to epictrip@4wdaction.com.au with some photos of your 4WD and why you’d make a great addition to the trip. Feel free to discuss here, but make sure you send that email for your chance to be a part of this.

Now if he was into watching bits fall off a Defender without the use of a wrench he should come to the Pilbara.
that has got to be a story in it's own right, reckon a defender would still out work all the prissy motors available these days
