    Is it really four years?

Crikey. It's hard to believe that it's four years today that Bucko passed away - and I'm still riding his bike that he was riding that day.

I still remember the phone call that night from the bloke leading the ride Bucko was on to tell me that he'd gone.

    Lee and me:

    His first bike:

    Rocky (from Rocky and Bullwinkle)

A caricature given to us after his funeral:

    Part of his garage:

    Thanks for letting me post.

No words I write could ever say
How sad and empty I feel each day
That the Angels came for you
    Much sooner than all planned
I'll brave the bitter grief that comes
    And I'll try to understand

Bucko why did you have to go away?
Why wasn't it right for you to stay
In our hearts Lee you will always be
we still love him dearly and we know he'll watch over mum and me

What we're suffering seems so unfair
But one thing is for certain
Our love for him will always be there

Bucko my son you always will be
The most important part of my hearts memory
I'll cherish the moments I held you in my arms
And our rides, short and longer
You graced us all with your charms

A thousand words won't bring you back
    I know because I've tried
    Neither will a thousand tears
    We know because we've cried

    Now you're up in Heaven
    With the Angels up above
They will take our place for now
And they'll give you all their love

So go and rest in peace now
    tear tracks through heaven above
    My Bucko boy so dear
For all our memories and love
    We will hold forever near

Time doesn't seem to make it any easier Ron, does it.
The older you get the harder it seems to become.
Sometimes I find myself really looking forward to being reunited with my departed. When I become aware of that, I get in the Disco and go bush
somewhere. I dont feel isolated out there even tho I try to avoid people
as much as I always have.
I really enjoy the company of trees and Birds.

    Cheers.

    Robert.

    Hello Ron,

I can feel your pain, the loss of a child is not easy.

Time passes but memories are hanging everywhere.

We may all feel your pain but only you is living it.

May his Soul rest in peace.

    Ron thanks for sharing,
Somehow my landy world has become a bit bigger and the relationship we form on here just a bit more precious and important.

I hope your day has tears of joy in there too

Thanks for sharing, Ron. I was most impressed at the time that you shared your grief with us, and I was most impressed with the way so many people on here rallied to your support. I remember having more than a few tears in my eyes, as I read of your grief, and as I read the many pages of replies.

    Cheers, Mick.
