Got to love Indian call Centres

We booked and paid in full some airfares to Sydney a while ago to coincide with catching a cruise ship. Today we get an email from Jetstar stating our flight must be changed and they gave us 2 earlier choices of flights. So we click on the selection given in the email. It says it cant be processed and we need to ring a 1300 number.
We get on the automated robot voice and it asked for name. it doesn't recognise the voice prompt. (A bit like the TV add for an insurance company where she screams Moira, Moira into the phone)
We finally get to speak to an Indian woman, we explain that at the request of Jetstar we have to change flight times.
Finally all sorted out and then the woman tells us it is changed now and we can't change it back. Hang on, change back to a flight that no longer exists and it was them that cancelled the flight any way.Go figure

Jetstar seems to be very good at taking bookings, and then forcing you to change to another flight.
I haven't bothered to check if the original flight is ACTUALLY being rescheduled, or if they just overbook the attractive flight times and then push the extras onto another flight, but thats my suspicion. Either that or they never actually planned to have the initial flight, but sucker people in on the convenient time and then pretend its been rescheduled.

Going by the comment from the call center, it would be interesting to check on the day if the flight you were originally booked on is actually operating.

The earlier flight actually suits us better, gives us more time to catch the ship. might even have time to have a snack for lunch.

I couldn't agree more, the wife and I just flew 3 different legs with jetstar and they changed 2 of them. Maybe it has something to do with "flight sharing" between "partners" because I notice a lot of flights will have a jetstar, qantas and some other airline included on the same plane all with different flight numbers.
    It's a conspiracy I tells ya......

I can resolve the awful Jetstar call centre problem for you quite simply. All it took for us was one very poor Jetstar experience to change from them to Virgin. What a difference! What a pleasure!

After a lifetime of flying Qantas and being a top rated platinum frequent flyer, we now fly Virgin. Thanks Jetstar, you opened our eyes.

I was chatting with a mate the other day about dating girls from various cultural backgrounds.
I decided that dating an Indian, Paki or Sri Lankan girl wouldn't work, as if she called me I'd either start swearing, try to start an argument or hang up; thinking it was Telstra trying to sell me something.
