No offense to Ron, but there is the dilemma in our current system... We all now have "vested interests" via shares, even if they are indirectly held in our super funds. We are all too scared of impacts to ourselves to stand together and fix the causes.

Deregulation of any industry that works for profit should be reversed... People will sell their souls to generate profits (ratings in this case) so they need to be more rigidly controlled to help protect both the George's and Yummi's of the world as well as the rest of us.

After all, I really do not think either of them would knowingly want to stoop to such low tactics to bring attention to themselves. And if they did then they should be regulated out of that industry.

I fear if we don't start pressuring our elected leaders to pull things back into line (and re-regulating industry), our country's future will be completely lacking morality and the "fair dinkum" National identity we all know and love.

Sorry for ranting. It's just so obvious the system is broken (or damaged at the least).
    Hoo-Roo,

    Dave.

IMO Gerge Negus is human like all of us and he can make mistakes and error of judment.
He said to the corpora : 'I'm sorry if I've offended you, your family, your colleagues in the army, the SAS, if unintentionally or accidentally I actually offended you'."

It was enough for the corporal and is enough for me.
There are heaps of bastards out there that do not have the courage to admit when thay have a mistake and will never serv an apology.
George has put his life in the line many times over to inform us of what happens in the world and we have to made allowances for it.
I guess that those that are "perfect" and never have made a mistake can disagree with me.

Ill disagree with you Arthur, and I have made plenty of mistakes.

They have offended ME. To ME, it is an insult to every person that has risked their neck protecting us and our way of life, and so, I feel offended.

So whilst apologising to Corporal Ben is a big step, they still are missing the point as to why so many people are upset.

Imagine the uproar if I made a sweeping statement on TV about the mental capacity of "The Circle" hosts..... I would be labelled a Racist, Sexist, etc etc

Have to agree with that... There are many words I can think of to describe that oxygen wasting group but I would probably get banned from AULRO for being a racist, fatty bashing, sexist, misogynist.

But they can prattle away to the viewing world in a public domain spreading their joint opinions and speaking as they wish... How does that work? Why shouldn't they be served a penalty by their governing body?

Because as with most industry regulators these days they have NO TEETH.

Your assuming by saying comparision and your reply becomes rubbish by doing it so.
I did not made comparision with any one but you have to remember that if you know what it is going in the world is because many journalist in some time or other are potting their life at risk to bring you the news.
