    Car Ramps..........

I'm clearing a block of land ( see marketplace alerts for details) and have stumbled on a set of car ramps that are 4.5 metres long and approx 600 high.

I assume you can drive the whole car onto these and work safely under them. I've never seen anything like them before so know nothing about them, can anybody advise please ??? Thanks in advance

correct, Inspect the welds for rust penetration, give the metal a quick going over for thickness bulging in the paint (surface rust penetrating) give em a test load and away you go..

be warned they may have a load rating on them typically that is a point load rating if its under 750KG (which translates to the load it can take per wheel) or a total load if its over .

Remind`s me of a house we had some years back. Big block of land. First mow. Grass was quite long. Found a old demolished shed. Was a sloping block. Shed floor was cut into the slope by about three rows of bricks. Over the edge I went. Did find a old tear drop split windscreen glass underneath the rubble. Also found lots and lots of bones at that place. I just chose to believe they where all various animal bones and left it at that.

I hope they aren't the ones I made on my uncle's block of land in Calamvale when I was 16. Nah, mine were much bigger and I could stand under them - all made from trees I cut down on the property. I wish I had a photo of them. I had no help from any adults (my family had moved back to Sydney and my uncle had absolutely no handyman skills). I needed it to work on my unregistered car to get it ready for my subsequent drive, unlicensed (I was, after all, only 16), to Sydney).
