You Know You've Got the Bug!

You know that you have the bug - today was my day off and I traveled 1,397kms in 15 hours to look at a Landy S3.

Sadly it won't be coming home - it just needed too much work to put back to standard, with too much rust in the chassis.

    Love your work GG.

I flew from Sydney to Townsville to look at a 110 that I'm proud to say I ended up buying. Distance is simply a function of time and money. Cheap flight + 6 hours on a Saturday seemed appropriate.

Only one of my mates is a pertrolhead and he didn't question my logic for a second. The rest thought I was bonkers.....but one day I'll tow them out of a puddle when their "4x4" family SUV is bogged and they'll be quiet about it forever.

I once flew from Canberra to Melbourne to look at a County in Geelong. Liked what I saw and drove it home. It would be easy to become a collector. But does it make the itch go away?

Yeah I got mine from Sydney, then test drive was back to Melbourne. Being a old Land rover it did not get back with out some problems.

My last 3 were in SE QLD, I was in Sydney...

Closest ones have been Brissy (I was on Gold Coast) and Canberra (I was in Sydney).

I just realised I've never bought a Landy in the same city I'm living in!

Did a 550km round trip on Sunday to pick up a series 1 which was in pieces.

Next Sunday I will be doing the same to pick up it's ugly twin. (non standard engine and canopy)

    Yep, I am addicted.
