Thanks for that, is there a way to check the coupling without grabbing hold of it whilst it is spinning and risking a finger or two?!?
When i get around to putting up a pisture of my 300tdi Disco you will see how much crap i have in front of my radiator, lights and a high mount winch thingy, on what is the only landrover OEM winch nudge bar i've ever seen. I think the light actuall create a venturi effect and draw air i behind them like the negaive pressure behind a semi trailer for instance, i have not noticed any changes in running temps of my car since putting them on though. So it may be a coincidence that the viscous coupling has gone in your car now?!?
Cheers

In my opinion the lightforce 240 blitz lights are fantastic for long range driving , The Led lightbar are great for bush driving but not long distance driving as they dont throw enough light far enogh in front as your L/F 240 blitz do![]()
As everyone else has said check your viscous fan operation , I had L/F 240 blitz lights and high mount winch on 300tdi and Td5 defenders with no over heating probs![]()
At least with the lightforce lights you can cruise along the highways legally,( Dipped of course for on coming traffic) I'm sure LED racks would not be legal on highway travel.
There is a law as how high lights can be off the road. That is why a lot of roof bars cannot be used on the road.
Cheers
The issue I could see is that extra lights (driving / spot) are supposed to be mounted in pairs with mirror imaged mounting points about the centre line of the vehicle. Light bars generally don't achieve this.
Having said that I have had light bars on my VS ute for over 6 months with no trouble from the 5-0.
