Thread: Landrover nuts and bolts

Was looking for a bolt in the workshop to fasten down a sensor to the head but no good, got me thinking I need to top up on the misc nuts and bolts.

Surprised to see that when typing in nuts & bolts into ebay it came up with a Landrover specific site.

I see they are in Coventry, UK. you can get most of this stuff in Oz from Bruce Gardner, B.S.F. Bolts, in Melbourne, tel. 0408 056 255. Also from Stig Fasteners in Yorkshire. Stig are a stainless steel company and market make specific packages to promote their products. They have Land Rover specific sets, loose, and packages. Fred Goddard, Bolts Steel and Tools Australia, in Brisbane 07 3395 0311 is very good also. Fred can find odd items that others will tell you no longer exist.

Check around for the best prices. Wright list stainless safety wire for AU$17.89 a roll. I just ordered some from Speedway Motors, Lincoln, Nebraska, for US$4.55.

Speedway are a huge operation selling everything for the hot rodder, midget and sprint car racer, and oval track racers. One of their senior staff told me they load an average of 11 UPS 20' semi-trailers per day as well as a substantial personal shopper business. Bill Smith, the owner, also owns the "Museum of American Speed" next door to the Speedway Motors big warehouses. The museum is mind blowing. Don't miss it if you are in the area.
