    Seem to be OK

    Hello from Brisbane.

I don't have the Evacool model that you have described, but do have a smaller one that I use in the cab of my work ute on longer road trips for keeping things cold. It has been very good with no problems to date either on 12V in the truck or 24V in a motel. It came from BCF when they had a sale some time back.

For longer field trips involving camping and more stuff to keep cold we usually rely on larger Engels which are probably the best all around option.

    Cheers,

We've got one of the 60L white fibreglass Evakool's. Only had it for a year, and hasn't done a huge amount of work but no drama's so far.
The one you are looking at has the same compressor as ours, and a better warranty - ours has 5 years on the compressor, but only 2 or 3 years on the rest.

I'd say for that price go for it....

So why go for the evakool 50L when you could get an ironman 60L with an insulated bag delivered to your door?

    Hi

Evakool have a website with 'seconds'.

Evakool Store - TravelMate and AD Fridges

    Couple of choices.
I have a different Evakool. A fridgemate fridge. It was purchased new. Not a second

    Evakool Store - Fridgemate Fridges

First time I used it it leaked internally. Contacted Evakool. They arranged to have it picked and on investigation sent me a new one.
Not had a problem with the new one...coming up for a year old. Works good..

Lets see how many of these elcheapo fridges are going in 30+ years , Honestly people pay a little more and buy one that will last as long as tour LR

I've had mine over 10 years and still works great. Only issue was 240V power supply, didn't like being used on 12V and failed, Evacool replaced. Now when running of 240V I use the 24V option, so far 7 yeasrs no issue. Runs all day every day at home full of coldies

I've had one for 3 years now and its been ok. Had a problem with the fuse which was replaced under warranty with a circuit breaker.
