Trials
From 11.30am - 5pm at the Trial Track.
We have established a new trials course which will hopefully challenge vehicles and drivers but still retain the fun element. It has been built to enable more than one vehicle to be on the track at a time, with no crossover points on the track itself, just an entry and exit point where a marshal will control ve-hicle movements on and off the course. Vehicles should be able to com-plete the course in a shorter time enabling more people to experience the trial event. Remember you will be required to marshal the trial for a short period if you wish to compete.
To make use of the terrain around the track we have prepared a viewing area along the top of the old railway embankment, this will be ringed by star droppers and bunting to keep spectators off the track. Metal fencing will be erected on the bridge parapets to prevent anyone falling off, and steps have been cut into embankment with hand rails for those that need some assistance. We hope you enjoy the trial and its vantage points.
Motorkhana
From 1 - 5pm
A great fun competition for you to test yourself and your co-drivers skills around an obstacle course. As previous years you’re going to need to bring a co-driver, a sense of humour and not be afraid of getting wet!
Adventure Track
Trips from 12.00 - 4.30pm
The Melrose Show Society has given us permission to construct our Adventure Track in a revegetation area. While this track is quite demanding on drivers, it is non damag-ing to vehicles. Our aim is too focus on Land Rover’s legendary ‘go anywhere’ capability and maybe persuade some to buy a Land Rover and join the club.
Rock Crawl
The "PCB Rock Crawl" has also been assembled near the trial track.
