Sad news...Ray will be sorely missed.
Sincere condolences to his family.
sad, sad news. Ray was a lovely man and was always ready for a chat with me and my girls! My thoughts go out to his family and the lads at the workshop.

Condolences to Ray's family.
I never met Ray in person, but had a long phone conversation with him last year when looking to buy my Disco. Ray had been maintaining it for the previous owner. He was very helpful and took the time (when he didn't know me from a bar of soap) to explain to me what had been done to the car. A genuine bloke.
Unfortunately Ray (the owner of Romsey repair centre) passed away last week, loosing his battle with cancer.
His honesty and genuinness will be sorely missed.
Sleep well mate.
Thankyou to however moved the above post, I wasn't aware a thread was already up.
I remember ringing Ron in fits of rage as my newly aquired eas classic logged a hard fault the day before our wedding. His schedule was full, however we got it down there, and he worked on it till 10.30 that night, so one of my groomsmen could pick up the early the next day. It arrived 45 minutes before the ceremony, and we drove it to Qld the next day.
I only wish we could make it down today. Sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
Very sad news and we are all a little less for having lost a true gentleman.
Condolences to Lyn and family.
