Hi Sue,
Different club, Scallops is talking about the Gold Coast Landrover Owners.
Cheers,
TimJ.
That's funny because when I enquired I was told that I had to attend at least two meetings a year - although the website say's one meeting a year..Land Rover Owners Club of Brisbane - Membership
Yup that's my 90...I don't mind being the odd one out.. and there are other Land Rovers in the club so it's not like I am totally alone..

Hey,
Thank you Ramblingboy42, I can't argue with the "Worlds best". Looks like next month is going to be a busy month for me. I am looking forward to getting to the Gold Coast meet but I am hoping to find something closer. I have heard from several people now that GCLRO is a great club though!!!
Thanks All, Tristan
A great bunch of people and the good thing is you don't have to live on the coast
The membership base stretches from north of Brisbane to BallinaDo we have someone in Coffs harbour? hhmmm

well, there's someone in Emerald.....is that far enough?
puntuation correct at time of printing.
GCLRO has members from Eumundi to Coffs Harbour (& Emerald) with around 40 from Brisbane itselfUnfortunately the Gold Coast itself doesn't have any legal 4wding anymore so we have to travel out of the area regardless hence the wide membership base. Hence not a requirement to attend meetings, a lot of our daily business and trip chatter happens here in our private areas so distance is not an issue
Apologies Sue if I didn't get back to you, emails are a fickle thing though you did mention you came out for a day with us?

Now and ex-member (because I live in Victoria now and see no point in having membership and not being active) I enjoyed the 6 years I was in the club, met some great people but had to move on due to lack of work opputunities in Brisbane. I perferd the hardcore trips and I used to run one every now and then but they'res something for everyone to enjoy.
Trips dried up on the GC as Josh said places are far and few between for any sort of proper 4WDing.
Not a huge fan of mixed branded clubs, too much Toyota and Nissan egotistical 'big dick syndrome' trying to outdo each other for my liking. Once bitten, twice no way
