    Old Man Emu.

Now I am in no way having a shot at OME products, but the questions is that they say they make the stuff themselves, but really they come out of the Monroe factory in South Australia.

Having Monroe's and Kings on my car with excellent results. And the New Monroe 4x4 Gas Magnums (which I have) And the new OME Sports have exactly the same specs as the Monore's and the same colour. I am wondering if in sense they the same item?

    Any thoughts.

I reckon they are the wrong length. I had some for a two inch lift and they only had 30mm down travel. They were on the car when I bought it and soon got replaced. I would use OME stuff but not what they recommend as its wrong.

OME's shocks have always been made in the Monroe factory in SA, but have unique valving.

The LTR's are unique to OME too.

    Hi guys, great forum!

Just to clarify, our range of Nitrocharger Sport shocks do get made by Monroe in South Australia but they are manufactured to our specifications. We actually have a dedicated team of Old Man Emu engineers based at our Head Office in Kilsyth (Melbourne) who initially design and develop all of the required specifications for our Nitrocharger and Nitrocharger Sport ranges.

    Cheers, Sam.

I had a laugh the other day. I saw a TV advert for, I think, a Suzuki car and it was pushing the fact the car had Monroe shocks.

So Sam do you have Land Rover vehicles that you fit the shocks too and actually drive them during development?. Pat

Hi Sam, it's great that you have made contact here. Please refer to my post about OME not being of the correct length. You guys do have some great products but please take on board what we have observed. Your answer for a two inch lift: the shock length is pitiful. The TJM gold edition long travel is great and is what you guys need to make to compete or have a bigger slice of the pie. It would be great for OME to have a greater range of shock lengths for landrover.
