    Discovery 1, Camry 0

At 0720 this morning a non male person of sub-continental descent decided that a octagonal red sign with a certain 4 letters on it didn't apply to her and drove in to the side of my stationary D2.

Resulting damage, front bar bent in, ding in guard and door, step/slider scratched. panhard & track rods and drag links bananna'd. Possibly damaged rim and radius arm, steering box now leaking, front tailshaft possibly damaged due to axle now sits 6" to the right (inside edge of D/side wheel now almost in line with outer edge of guard).

Drivable around the corner to the in laws where I was headed anyway, but gets towed tomorrow. Other driver decides it's more important she makes her meeting despite green puddle on ground, lights hanging over bumper/missing and bonnet not really being held down by anything much more than art.

So pics to follow, Assessment as well, should result in "upgraded" replacement parts being fitted, incl hopefully cranked arms as they won't be able to sort out the wheel alignment castor due to the "bend" as a result of the accident.

Well for a sub 20km/h crash the damage list is pretty high. Cosmetically just door and guard but underneath..

At least I listed specifics of the "raised suspension" option in the insurance so they'll replace with new same or new like for like components. Moved the diff enough to also damage the front tailshaft

Seano, octagonal IS 8 sides, you thinking of Hexagonal, that is 6 sided.

Cluba, damned bad luck mate, hope the Landy gets better soon.

So after discussion with assessor I can make a list of the replacement parts and sources, or best option if original upgraded replacement parts aren't available.

So I need a local source for HD Panhard & track rods and drag link. Possible (hopefully) radius arms (3deg corrected). Shock upgrade, depending on if the lower pins are damaged. The diff is far enough to the right to have pushed the LH spring against the chassis. Also need new snorkel as the bolts pulled from the original, new LH guard and LH door skin (depending on how they want to fix).

If the diff itself is damaged might be time for a D1 retrograde.
