This sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have attended the last 2 years at the land sea and air show and was intending to attend this year with my Landrover not as an individual but with the Qld Military Jeep Club as their insurance would cover me should something goes wrong.
As for the reenactment side of it, it does not do a lot for ME it has a place in society and is good for the young kids But after 21 yrs military service, inc 13 months in Vietnam, and nearly four years posted to the land warfare centre at Canungra and a 6 weeks stint at Canungra doing infantry training pre Vietnam I tend to see it in a different light to you blokes. and I make NO apology for it and some time I dont need it
As a pensioner I find it difficult to keep up all my social and hobbie activies that I enjoy which still includes several exmilitary associations.
As for attending for personal gain If you are haveing a go at me I am no different to you or any one else We all tend to pick up bits and pieces whether it parts, information, contacts or what ever, Yes some time I have picked up Items at a good cheap price and later on sold them at a profit This is then put into my Ser2 CR project. But over the years I have given away many items to assist others including yourself. I hold no animosity to wards you or any members of the MVCA although at time I myself think that narrow minded attitude toward other clubs with similar interest is a very pore attitude which yourself and others have voiced towards other clubs lends to this sniping and Chinese whispers, as for conspiracy theories.I have never known of any among the people I closely associate with If you hear any please pass them on to us you have my email address but we do talk about certain people and perhaps have a laugh at their expence and I bet you do the same too.

I'm not moderating here, however we don't want to have these forum changes turn into personal attacks on other members.
We have all been civil to one another in spite of some differences of opinion on the direction things have been, should have been and should be going.
It has happened, REMLR is no longer on this site but both the AULRO forum and REMLR forum will continue and continue with most if not all the same names.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

i am an MVCA founding member and until the next agm i am secretary.
i am constantly liaising with various levels of people at various clubs including the MJCQ where by the way there is at least one very major project we are working side by side on and have been for well over 18 months.
to be frank, the only people i have a problem with in the military vehicle club scene are what several clubs refer to as, TEAM S.O.Cs
this remlr kerfuffle has nothing to do with any one other than me personally, the owner of aulro, cliff
if you want to kick heads, by all means have a shot at mine if it makes you feel better.
not one person other than a remlr committee person bothered to contact me personally over the issue....
i have no idea what the peanuts are propagating, i haven't had any thing to do with the new forum other than advising mr green what software he would be better using.
no one knew the full story except myself and mr green to the best of my knowledge.
that said, i have advised some people on both sides of some details i thought were relevant to their tasks here and there.
if or when conditions, that i have advised mr green of, are met i will open up the remlr areas "read only" so the remlr forum can rebuild it self in it's new home but i imagine some wont want that to occur either. the decision is theirs.
i live by my principles, be they right or wrong, popular or despised and am prepared to take the hits that may bring.
in my opinion there needs to be change.
i truly hope this will bring about the changes that will enable remlr to move to the next level as i am an extremely strong believer in what remlr aspired to be.
i supported it here for 10+ years, only ever asking that the rules that are applied on aulro are also applied in relmr areas by the admins and moderators.
i do what ever is in my power to support land rover owners, no more, no less.
so please, if you want to continue to use aulro, you are most welcome cliff
but i will not tolerate some of what has gone on before.....
i am sorry if that offends.

As an REMLR member that has too little time and too many projects, plus work , plus dealing with the kids, wife etc.........I've just figured out what has happened and have signed up on the REMLR forum.
I think it would be an idea to have in the list of forums on AULRO "REMLR forum has now moved to ........... (insert link). This would help people who only visit infrequently find out where the forum has 'disappeared' to.
The link could maybe get dropped after a few months.

What an extraordinary way of doing things - and here was I patiently waiting for REMLR to reappear on this forum and discovering quite by accident in General Chat that it is gone forever!
Surely, as point of courtesy, REMLR members could have been informed by email of the change of address and AULRO members could have been informed by a sticky note in the space that was formerly REMLR!
To think that all of that useful information has now been lost forever, defies belief!
Perhaps someone who knows could explain on this page why the separation has happened at the very least,

Inc says in his post the info is not lost and he will put it back up as read only if certain conditions are meet lets hope it can be sorted![]()
i think incisors post outlines some of the goings on. from what i read you should contact REMLR as i think the buck stops with them for communication with its members. if your not a vendor like myself there is not much you or i can do.
i believe there is a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel to do something with the data/info that was in the REMLR forum
Got to say I have been left a little confused too. For everyone sake, I hope the parties who need to sort their stuff out sort it out sooner rather than later so we can unlock all the data that was based on AULRO.
There's a reason I like this forum so much, its because there's no internal club politics, I just pays me contribution money to Inc and get a great resource out of it (with help from a bunch of moderators too). No committees, no voting, just the occasional whinge.
