    George,

You're right, it's not easy. I led a few out of Brisbane some years ago and often found there was either far too many participants or too few.

Don't look for any one reason because there isn't one. People lead busy and varied lives, plans change, etc.

Have you considered joining one of the clubs?

Simple solution, pick a few folk that you trust to go offroading and socializing with, invited them, bugger everyone else. Too many is too much hassle and bad for the environment in which we all enjoy.

I've organised a few in my time here and other forums, (don't mention Marree)the key is not to worry about how many turn up, just have fun with the ones that do and if knowone turns up, well it's their loss.

Also don't organise a trip unless you want to go somewhere, I've always done it this way.

Actually Baz, I think my liver has finally recovered. We need to organize an overnighter.

Mates are either busy or have a broken truck atm. I just tought it would be nice to meet a few people from Aulro and have a day out with rovers . The size of the site and the member numbers around Brisbane certainly made me anticipate a bigger response .

I don't know if mine could handle another one like the last one, but I'm willing to try

just put up a date and time and they will come.
if they dont just go by yourself and stick to tracks you feel comfortable.
worst one is what is just did, offered up the trip and broke an axle on the first climb, all over red rover as they say, apparantly everyone had a lovely day out,,,
