The Kia KV6 is a Freelander engine

As going bush said, its actually a Rover KV6 thats what makes the Kia's such lemons haha, was used in the freelanders, but on the plus side with them all crapping themselves the auto converter plates and starters are good to adapt to the veteran cars LOL

I think that is essence of why you don't take your Land Rover ANYWHERE except a TRUSTED Independent LandRover specialist . Even the dealers have idiots like this working for them.

The KV6 predated Freelander.
I can recall that almost 100% of early Kia Carnivals had to be recalled because of headgasket failure and the engines replaced.
What it must have cost is almost beyond belief!

Kv6 was in Rover sedans etc . Here is the Wiki
