Would agree it's Ford, My best guess is late 60s early 70's. (XW/XY GT/GS) Is there a part number on it at all. The 1st couple of numbers in ford part numbers is usually the year the part was first made.

Got to agree with Pop, I reckon it's off a '67 XR Falcon.

    Thanks for the quick replys
Unfortunatly there are no numbers on it? Maybe it's not a genuine part, possible aftermarket replacement?? But you both have confirmed my guess, I'm sure I saw that style back in the late 70's early 80's. I thought XY or simular.

Looks like the one that my 70's friend had on his Falcon- what was it again? GTHO or something? Anyway, it was a Bathurst Special. Always had trouble getting it on or off....

By the look of the keys, it's an aftermarket cap made by CPC.

this is a genuine XW/XY GT cap

Have to agree with Scouse about the keys thing. Don't recall original caps being lockable.

If it's any help one of the keys has GAS engraved on it. Above this in a smaller size is AUSTRALIA.

I have caps for other cars with the same keys - that's what triggered the CPC bit of useless info in my head .
