    how many km on your td5 engine?

    just thought I'd throw this up for general info. Many newbies ask if 200k is too much on a td5.....mines done 240,000 with no engine work at all, what's yours done?

    212k on mine when i bought it and it's immaculate.
    Slunnie told me if i find the disco stripped, ill know where to look!

    Mine's at almost 220 K. Stock standard, 2002 Defender, no engine work at all.

    268000Ks on the D2,head gasket done only due to slight leak(plastic dowels).168000Ks on the Defender TD5,untouched as yet .
    The D2 doesnt use a drop of oil between services,20000km intervals on synthetic oil.Oil remains pretty clean too.

    Bought it just over 12 months ago, one owner from new, 39,000kms on clock.

    2001, 312000 on mine, has had the head done due to plastic dowels but that's it. I chipped it when a bought it at 300000 and loves life, doesn't use oil or blow smoke.

    2003 Defender,80000kms, owned since new,serviced every 5000kms by me. Fuel pressure regulator leaking, tapper cover gasket leaking, cam cover joining goo leaking, layshaft bearing in g/box let go at 60000 kms and I'm still wondering about that 6mm bolt I found in the sump at 50000 kms? well someone had to lower the tone of this thread.
