    Fire in Adelaide River

On Saturday a fire went through Mark Hagan's (Marko66) yard destroying more than 120 old and used vehicles which would include, as many members would know, many old Land Rovers.
Damage is estimated to be $100,000 and the fire had come within 35m of his house but going by the photo in the Sunday Territorian, Mark is ok.

Sorry to hear about it Marko but at least the house is ok and one Land Rover survived.

That is terrible news for Marko and all Land Rover enthusiasts

I'm glad Marko is OK, which of course is the most important news.

His collection of Land Rovers was something to behold but also a trap for anyone passing through as you would spend hours with Marko showing his latest addition to the collection.

    That's terrible news!

We called in and spent some time with Mark on the way to Arnhem Land last month and had another wander around his "Landrover Land" back yard. He had some classic and special vehicles at his place. It's hard to believe they're gone

Mark mate, you must be absolutely devastated ......we are so very sorry. How did the fire start? We are happy to hear you're OK and your home wasn't damaged.

You have lots of mates on this Forum who will be thinking about you.

If you need to chat, you have our number.

    All the best mate,

    Erich & Sheila

    No Really i'm ok

    Hi All

No i havent lost signigificant amounts of land rovers but i think the toll from the fire is 128 cars 3 quads 1 trike 1 coaster and 2 trucks and two caravans and a van chassis and a four post hoist.

Us and the animals and the house and nearly all the landy's are safe it's just the 100 000 in cars and quads and parts etc that i have to deal with

    Regards Mark

    Hi All

Lou we had a fire here at my place yesterday, kept the 31 landy's from the fire but lost about 90 per cent of everything else that was out the back. The fire came in from over the river it was quite a lot of fun watching everything going up in smoke and the fuel tanks popping and the lpg cylinders whistleing and then going off
