As with everything these days I think you'll find that they are a re-badged Chinese made unit that work very well for 6 months but then they start to run out of puff.
Popular faults are the On/Off switch burns out. The Pressure relief button seizes and the aluminium piston starts to disintegrate.

I would hope that ARB have addressed these faults in the everyday units and have had the side-winder manufactured to their own higher quality specs.

It's impossible to tell from just looking at pictures since I have seen twenty or thirty companies selling the exact same 12v compressor.
Yeah, good points - mine is close to a year old now, and not done a huge amount of work, but time will tell. According to their blurb, they are manufactured to a high level, but that could just be marketing BS. We will see, but I do know it outperforms quite a few of the cheaper chinese units, and doesn't get anywhere near as hot. I have seen a few cheapies run out of puff and getting too hot to touch doing one set of tyres, but this will do 3 cars in a row without breaking a sweat.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

For what it's worth I also had a copy of this twin compressor..it lasted me about a year or so untill it got smashed in the back of the truck went a cooler box crashed into it.
I've since invested in the mother of all 12volt compressors....the WARN VTC....nothing comes close to it in terms of speed, reliability, performance etc etc...the only negative issue being the massive drain on the battery.

Funny that, i've had an Aldi AutoXS twin cylinder job for over two years, gets used at least twice a month for four tyres, has aired up 16 tyres in one go without a rest. Only had one problem, the 50 amp fuse holder melted, cleaned it up and it still works.
    I'd happily buy another.

ARB & ABR are different companies....I suspect ABR is trying to confuse some people (successfully it would seem ).
