    Calling all entomologists

    Can anyone identify this insect?

    I took the photo a few months back in the garden the bush it is on is a grevillea.

    I'm not sure.. but I do have a friend who is an Entomologist so have sent her the link to the picture for you.. I'm sure she will know what it is.

    Ah beaten to the punch lol.. my Entomologist friend came back with the same answer and she said : It is indeed a feather horned beetle, of the family Rhipiceridae Australia only has 6 species, and nothing is known about the larval stage. However, those in North America are known to be ectoparasites of the nymphal stage of cicadas
