Another 'expert' offering his opinions.

It amazes me that LR break a few axles in the early days and people still think they are plagued with this still.
Yet cruisers pop front diffs, hiluxs' recently rear diffs, V8's that consume oil, or seize, or crack firewalls and it's all forgotten immediately after fixed. Hand-grenade Patrols are now OK because they have been fixed and so on.

I find the best way to keep them quite is laugh about my own car's short comings and quirks, and brag about how much I love it and all my landy mates camaraderie. Just fantastic waving at strangers, makes my day. They leave me alone after that.

too late, IVe been using that line for years now.

Yeah, I get the old 'don't they break axles' comment now and then.

Before we attempted this creek exit we asked the guy in this Cruiser if he thought he would make it up ok.......he replied something like...."I'll be right, I've got an 80 Series mate" with a big thumbs up !!!!
He wasn't bagging our Landys or anything, but it's just another typical case of Toyota brainwashing their customers into believing they have an unstoppable vehicle with good advertising.

We didn't have to say anything after this happened..........actions speak louder than words :D:D

It really is a different mind set, no wonder you often see groups of Landies travelling together.

I reckon! Just that constant slipping and still hammering the noise pedal!
If he'd caught a bit of grip, CV gone methinks :)
