    Problems

While I now no longer own a Landy, and have sold my TD5 D2. Which as a car I enjoyed, but had nothing but problems. I have noticed that 1 out of 3 post on this site are LR owners posting about a problem.

Well no-one is going to start a thread "i haven't had any issues with my landy for 6 months" are they....

TBH most people post when they have problems, so it's a bit like a doctor saying "the only people I ever see are sick".

Perhaps I should start a thread entitled, " My Defender is running perfectly. I don't need any help.

Seriously though, I have a sneaking suspicion that a significant number of posts you say are about people having problems are in fact people carrying out regular maintenance, the sort of maintenance that every vehicle needs.

Because they may be attempting something they haven't done before, they seek the advice of more experienced owners to avoid costly mistakes.

I'm sure that's not the case over at the Toyota forums, or Nissan forums, or Mitsubishi forums, or Fords forums, or Holden forums, of Great Wall forums, or Mahindra forums, or especially the Harley Davidson forums. Just here. Yup.

yep 1:3 posts are someone asking for help.

unlike Toyota forums, or Nissan forums, or Mitsubishi forums, or Fords forums, or Holden forums, of Great Wall forums, or Mahindra forums, or especially the Harley Davidson forums.

0:ALL of the replies will be "sucks to be you, you shouldnt have bought that one" or "you bought a lemon, take it back"*
*obviously this does not apply to threads about freelanders or people who bought a ford
