If that can do 600k's I'll eat my hat. Scale speed yes, but no way 600kph true. The guys at our field used fly quickie 500 and F1A pylon racers, 180mph was the holy grail and they were blisteringly fast , very streamlined & unbelievably thin & sleek, There is no way that Delta could do 600kph, someone is being conned, esp with the deflection on those flaperons, flutter city , what about the drag on that turbine! its more like a rc jet trainer airframe, the pilot would need superhuman eyesight to maintain orientation as it would be so fast you could even not see it. Think of a real jet going past at close to mach1 you can hardly see that and its the length of a bus.

there was no way the turbine guys could get near the speed of the pylon guys.

this is more like it, 200mph

Food for thought. But how come you say the pylon guy's holy grail is 180mph, then you say theres no way the turbine guys can get near the speed of the pylon guys but then you say this is more like 200mph (which is more that the pylon guy's holy grail)? I'd find it easier to listen to your argument and give it credence if it was consistent, but as it is I'll have to give them (the guys that posted the video) the benefit of the doubt.
Either way though, 200mph (320kph) or 375mph (600kph), it was pretty impressive to see and I am impressed at the skill in flying it at that speed.

If you read the blokes write up you will see that it ''has been lasered'' at 600kph,might have been a downwind run on a very windy day, doesnt say that its the speed in the video. Sure climbs faster than a home sick angel though.

I was just waiting to see how the dog went, walking behind it. Could prove an interesting "Funniest Home Video".

I went to the australian model jet flying competition a couple of years ago and watched the best of them compete. I would not underestimate the speed claims of these things. The 66th Annual competition is being formulated now, The Australian Nationals

Impressive I thought. just under 600clicks I was only going by what was on the clip. I know nothing about them as to whether they'd go that fast.
