Sometimes you can use emery paper to clean up the terminal,or a small screwdriver.
Then squeeze up the spade so it slides on very tight.

Check the run cap is OK,if you have the correct meter.It doesn't have to be far out for the Amps to climb.

Thanks but over the years I have done all that. I suspect your spades are a heavier gauge from a proper manufacturer (Utilux) so will have a real go at finding some.

I still use my old school Utilux crimping pliers.

One of the gun chiller techs in Canberra knew exactly what they were when he saw them as he still used the same model.
