Did I also mention Fridgies can't count?
Seems item 4 is the most difficult some days or were, back in my other life. But hey ho. we get there.![]()
Hang on I never had a Mobile Phone, well I did, but it was a fixed in vehicle Telstra thing, not a pocket phone & a bloody great phone until Defence wanted to pinch the frequencies. Transceiver just behind the seat, external Ant. Handset on Dash.
Have still got it the shed somewhere just in case there might be a resurgence in decent equipment.
Could you TXT on it driving along like some do today?
Surely those camera things were not around in those days so all good,no pics turned up in the mail?
True,i can't count well either, particularly when it comes to invoices, sometimes i used to make mistakes, the most common one was adding another 0 to invoices.![]()
OOOPS! The olde slip of the pen & I bet your clients thought you were most reasonable compared to the bloke down the road. No, not Rick.
Text? You know, it may have been capable & it did have press buttons but I never gave it a thought. Probably why I am still kicking today.Whether equipment was there to do it I have no idea, about anything really, come to that
.
Before my first "mobile", which had a big leather case and shoulder strap, I had a new fangled pager.![]()
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
The one that just beeped?
Then they came with a message on them,we used them up until a couple of years ago.
Mainly while working in areas we are not allowed to take mobiles, for security reasons.
The network has now been shut down,so no beepers any more.
Then i had the Voxon house brick,my first mobile phone.
No, my pager could also send very short messages.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
