Next best recommendation for a utopian spec please fellows.
Soft start.
Low consumption.
High output.
Able to cool a poorly insulated area of 12.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 metres.
I could particion the area in to a couple of 6 metre rooms and either use two units, one at a time, or duct the aircon to the end in use.
Split system would be my preference, so that the heavy bits can be mounted out of the way.

You can get multi-head split units nowadays i.e. multiple evaporators with just one condenser.

Bloody pump! "Reset" itself for no apparent reason Can't identify if an Internal OL is fitted but motor feels cool & term box is stacked full of wires of every gauge, so for now it's going to stay unsolved. Capac. does look new so unless that is also faulty agan I canna see where the problem lies. When it lets it's smoke out I'll have a better idea. But it is going back tomorrow.

Anyhow, have now had a shower & water is being kept up ok. Right, now where did I put my Blocksplitter?

Thinking on a bit, I suppose I should suspect the Pressure Control just in case it is short cycling & tossing the internal protection out if there is one of course.


Pump is an ONGA SMH45 & aprox 3 years old, if anyone knows any quirks about these & it has been a good pump.

My fault Paul, I've told him he can always ring, and he has my private number too!

Anyway the case is going, valve was closed even though the driver said it was at 100% open.
I told him to watch the temps and make sure the valve is modulating before leaving site.
No one can afford a liquid floodback at this stage.

Standard pressure switch plus pressure tank Des?

If so, check the pressure tank bladder pressure is just below cut in (I think?)
They will short cycle without air in the tank.

It's been a few years since I've played with those.
I used a Grundfoss with an electronic control that didn't need the pressure/expansion tank when I set the old house system up about ten years ago.

Thanks Rick. No, no pressure tank, previous pump had one & it really was a PITA Electronic Control I think it is. BLOODY HELL! Looking at ONGA parts etc on line. Looks as though I may have to mortgage the property if that is what it is.

Did you prime it when you put it back in, otherwise it might have run a lot to get rid of the air and tripped on hi-temp or duty cycle if electronic control?
