If you are aged mid sixties you could have driven trucks in Qld. under the permit system. It was phased out beginning in 1963-64 and finally put to rest early 1966.

You have obviously never done hundreds and even thousands of hours driving heavy vehicles under hundreds of bridges, or ever had a momentary lapse of concentration to make such a patronising remark.

No it was not me!

On a similar note, about 2 years ago, a truck with a cattle trailer, managed to get himself stuck in three different tunnels in Sydney during the same day. IIRC he didn't have a licence by the evening.

Sigh!!!! Lets just say I do have a Heavy Vehicle licence ( HC) and I do drive heavy vehicles for a living and leave it at that!!!
