Buy yourself a Hawkeye or Nanocom, then you have peace of mind with regard to clearing and diagnosing faults while you travel. If the faults are intermittent and just need to be cleared, you save heaps of time, and if it ends up being a shuttle valve or something on your ABS modulator, then just order the part on line or search for a fix and sort it out.
My 3 amigos always came up as a shuttle vale earth problem on the Hawkeye. I followed the on-line step by step guide and it took 2 hours and 20 cents worth of parts to permanently fix the issue.
By the time you lose a day tavelling and pay for the mechanic for a day, you may as well buy the electronic prognosticator.
