FL2 Fire - Bad press for Landrover
In the paper today.
Not that I actually think FL's are real Landrovers but ....
Hope LandRover comes to the (wedding) party & fixes this mess up.

quote from the article in the paper version "I'll never buy another Landrover"

I really feel sorry for the bride, it should not have happened!!
But, it can happen with any vehicle, the odds are truly great but I guess if she used a toyomotor and it caught fire, she wouldn't buy another toyo!!

You'll always get quotes like that.
I'd put that down as a very unfortunate one-off as I've never heard of Freelanders catching fire.

Yes it caught fire - other than that very short on any facts.

Think it is something to do with European vehicles.
To see a car on fire by the side of the road in Australia was very unusual. Here in the UK I must see one a month on the motorway.
Also regular to see semi's with engine fires despite all the maintenance paper work and inspections that are required here. I do about 3k miles a month.
Am not talking about those parts of the UK where cars burning are a nightly social occurence.
