If i want to post a trip report that includes circa 100 photos, what is the preference for photo storage? External, like photobucket, etc? Or create an album in the AULRO Gallery? Or something else all together?

Secondly, if I include 100 photos in a single post am I going to break the series of pipes internet? Or just everyone's browsers as they try to load the page? I figure if I keep the file size to 50-100k (max), then 100 images should be fine?

P.S. I'm still planning to give the Wiki a go, just haven't had time over Xmas NY, etc.

I cant really comment on changes as im here on and off with sometimes months inbetween but the forum is good enough for me to pony up a few bucks for a few years now and it works fairly quickly which means good management and hosting plus I love vBulletin and IMO v3.8 is still fine.

I havent been told off which is also a great sign because I have been slapped about on first 10 posts in other forums for really silly stuff.

The feel of the place is also great and its funny and informative.

The only thing id love to see is for those of us who dont live, breathe and eat Land Rover and its a model by model breakdown, with pics features and specs so when we do stray away from our chosen model (RRC for me) and want something like a SIIa there is a pictorial writeup with useful info like engines, specs, interior pics and differences between say SII and SIIa similar to the great thread on SII's that appeared when I started looking around for a Landy and asked a few questions and was educated on good stuff like different brake circuits etc.

The Moderation is great and the lack of soapbox it a good thing IMO because I have seen this privilege destroy communities in the past.

one thing that i use to like but does not happen now is when I get a pm it pops up in a separate window. I know it isn't hard to see the notice in the user box but sometimes I do miss them when have a quick search through the threads

I always get a pop up when I get a PM, must be personal settings. Have you checked in the User CP to see if it can be turned on there?

Edit - it is a setting there. Go to User CP, then click Options. Down the page in the Messaging options, there is a check box for it.

When I get a PM, a box asks if I want to open it in the existing or a new window.
