I've been singing this song for 45 years so it has got to be up there with the best of them. Burt Bacharach, Hal David and Dionne Warwick were almost like a singing group, Burt Bacharach would write melodies, Hal David would do lyrics and together they would present it to Dionne and she would deliver. A beautiful combination and they had many, many hits

i was going to see him when he was in newcastle one night but i was sick so i could not go. My biggest regret is that i did not go to more of slim dusty concerts. I would like to go and see john williamson.
I keep saying to myself that i have to go to gympie and the tamworth country music festival.
there is also cmc rocks the hunter but it is just to much money for me at the moment and i am never here for it

International would have to be split between 'the doors' riders on the storm etc and 'jimi hendrix' all along the watchtower, purple haze, etc.

    Australian, anything by 'the church'.

but yes i have soooo many, very difficult question to answer

I don't think there is a definitive answer to the original question, I agree a lot with some of the other posts including this one by Loanrangie, the Moody Blues and the Doors are excellent groups along with The Cars and ZZ Top, so how can you come up with one single song as an answer?? A real favourite of mine is Roy Orbison, he put out some great music. John Farnham in the "Whispering Jack" Album was also excellent. I remember seeing him in Newcastle 20 years ago when he had long hair, what a great showman and singer.

The "Steve Miller Band" brought out great hits such as "Jet Airliner" and "Abracadabra".
