How did you find the Pajero?
The Pathfinder I saw was an ST-L. It had leather interior but not sure what else over the ST. The dash, door cards and rear cargo trim etc would be the same throughout the range. Very plasticy/commercial feeling.

I thought the Pajero was fairly nice. Nothing really standout but was comfy and easy to drive. It will be our only car so bye bye Disco and Corolla. All it needs to do is be my wife's daily car and tow our camper to faraway places. No more 4wd parks. Although it does have a rear diff lock.

The Prado I have to compare it to is a GX manual diesel. Haven't driven a GXL in a while.
I have ruled out any makes that don't Have a dealer in town but would have made an exception for the Land Rover.

One thing to note with Pajero is it was released in 2006 so would be due for replacement next year as well I think.
Prado and Disco 2009 so a few more years left in those ones.

Sean, I'm sure you can do a lot better than 86k. 18 month's ago I paid 76k at Austral for a D4 2.7 with 7 seats, leather, bi-xenon lamps and eDiff. I had to wait for it to be made though.

Ten months ago Austral would not come down anywhere near that price, and i had previously bought 4 vehicles new from them previously.

i walked away, picked one up from MLR,in stock, same spec as yours plus rear air & a few other things for around the 76K,including Qld rego,on roads, etc.

Put an email out to them all with the spec u want. The one who plays ball gets the sale. I did this with my Defender after Austeal did less than aversge with their interest in me. Many dealers don't bother replying, maybe they are above that behaviour, no stock, or not hungry enough. In the end Cairns was great, Bruce Lynton won the sale.

Can you salary sacrifice and lease? Get the broker to email all the dealers with your desired specs. and see who comes up with the best price. It may be interstate.

I liked the price so much, I went to Bundaberg Motor Group (gordon grieve) and nothing seemed too hard or a problem...

$11,000 cheaper than anyone else for my defer.

Its not a gunbuggy, but Ive got an angle grinder

Well we test drove the new 2013 3l TDV6 Disco 4 today. Very nice. Smooth drive (it has the new 8 speed auto), and plenty of power, for us anyway. Pretty sure were going to get one, just a matter of finding the best deal now.

    Cheers

Looks like we're buying from Bruce Lynton on the Gold Coast.

Now we have to wait until April for delivery...

    Cheers
