    The AULRO logo...

IF I was going to turn the AULRO logo into a sticker,

What are the most important aspects of it to you, as in, which bits must be done absolutely correctly as per the graphic and which bits can I afford to take some artistic license with? AND why.

    as an example.

    • The sourthern cross must stay - Its a key identifier for an Australian item.
    • The landrover badge must stay - It identifes the landrover motief but you dont have to use that specific badge,

( No ordinary forum, This one is ours)
      Any of those is fine
    • The grill on the Series isnt important but you should try to keep it.
    • The underbrush and the fine detail on the cuthberston suspension can be lost
    • The sunset colouring can be changed - Nice to have if it can be done but might also work with a single colour or if omitted.

This is mostly to give me options to do with the level of detail that the printer can handle and which print method gets used.

Ideally I'd want to use the same guys who did the diggers stickers.

I think Dave (Blknight) meant the AULRO 'Banner' at top of this page, not the AULRO Logo.
Is there a stickon banner available from the AULRO Shop?

with all due respect I think Dave should of be consulted regardless of which logo blknight is talking about

simply because he appears to be wanting to do a run of stickers of the AULRO logo to which it also maybe changed.

The fact that Dave appears to have not been approached about his own logo is a little bit rude.

We could all change our names to Dave if it made things easier, but I prefer Bruce.

    Somewhat agree with you Lou

However, with all due respect to Dave (aka 'Blknight') he had alluded to this in the 'Digger Sticker' thread at post #112 with the following -
"Incisor will be given first option to retain the rights to running it as a print or to make it a public domain type item"

Not exactly what you were saying Lou but it does indicate that Blknight is considering the 'ownership' of the 'property'.

I think at this stage we should leave it to Dave & Dave to communicate and sort it out.

I ment the banner at the top....

The plan was to vector it up in the new software I got for doing work stuff (same one I did diggers sticker in) so it was ready to goto print, not to actually print it off.

Kinda wanted to do it as a fill in time project over Xmas as this will be the first time I've had a go at something in colour, Im getting very sick of making very pretty images in black and white where the only colour I get to use is colour representing the dither pattern the printer is going to use to fill a void.

No, I havent specifically asked INC if I can do the run because I'm not even sure I can make the thing come up reasonably or if I can make it come up reasonably in software if the printing gear I have easy access to is capable of producing a reasonable product.

I haven't followed the digger sticker thread at all...all I saw was Dave (incisor) post in here which would indicate he has not been asked

    Alluding is not asking.

I think for anyone doing anything AULRO based stuff for other members is great!!!! and I encourage it as it helps with the community spirit i reckon..I just think dont go asking people what they want if you havent even asked the Man if its OK (which the majority of the time it would be) its just common curtosy not to assume it will just be OK
