Personally, I'm unimpressed with the quality of many CCTV recordings, and I'm seeing a huge variation in dash-cams (as on you tube etc) - Some worse than useless...

Normally you only get what you pay for, but sometimes - as in the Cheap UHF CB's on the communication thread, there are screaming bargains out there amongst the rubbish...

For starters, a two-channel - front & rear - seems to be the minimum ideal.

when you upload a dash cam footage to youtube it is compressed and serious quality loss.

yes, but officer, it used to be a 100 zone.
I actually got pulled over & booked for 80 in the same 60 zone coming the other direction about 3 months earlier. (by my neighbour I might add) its not exactly a busy road.
